See the names: 18 new Honorary Skou professors appointed
In 2018, Health appointed a total of 47 special affiliated professor professors, all of whom were given the title of Honorary Skou Professor. The initiative has proved a great success at the faculty, and so 18 new top researchers will be joining the team this year.
They have taught PhD courses, acted as co-applicants for EU funding, held journal clubs and been co-supervisors on PhD projects. Despite the lockdowns and travel bans of recent years, the original team of honorary Skou professors have shown a high level of commitment and have involved themselves in many different activities together with their ‘champions’ – their professional contacts at Health.
This was made clear in the evaluation of the initiative that was completed at the end of 2021, and the Vice-Dean for Research, Hans Erik Bøtker, did not hesitate to call the initiative a success. The Dean’s Office therefore decided to launch a new nomination round, and among the nominees, 18 international researchers have now been selected to receive the honorary title of Honorary Professor.
