See the photos: Health researchers filled the Forum with fascinated people
Research into lab-grown meat and the cardiovascular system of sleeping bears, among other things, attracted more than 500 people.
More than 500 children and adults came to meet the faculty's researchers - and to find out whether health and sustainability actually go hand in hand.
It happened on Friday April 28, when the Food and Nutrition Network at Health hosted an event at The Danish Science Festival together with Steno Diabetes Center Aarhus, Aarhus University Hospital and a number of other partners.
The event took place in the new Forum building at Aarhus University Hospital, and those present could, among other things, hear researchers talk about the causes of obesity, the health effects of laboratory-grown meat and how brown bears can hibernate for months apparently without affecting their cardiovascular health.
In a variety of workshops, guests also had the chance to test their strength and physical fitness, have their perception of taste and smell challenged and to experience the world’s healthiest type of grain, which may help combat obesity and diabetes in the future.
