AU researcher receives sclerosis prize

Biomedical research scientist Tove Christensen has been honoured for her research in multiple sclerosis. With the honour follows a check for DKK 100,000.

The RoseLivPrisen is awarded annually by a support group for multiple sclerosis research.

53-year-old Tove Christensen is employed as associate professor at the Department of Biomedicine, Aarhus University.

A total of seven candidates were in the running to win the RoseLivPrisen 2013 where a unanimous  board pointed at Tove Christensen.

"Tove Christensen is an excellent researcher who is able to pursue and investigate complex scientific problems and to incorporate new relevant methods and describe the results in an appropriate and balanced language," it says in the board’s nomination of Tove Christensen.

The award was presented on 3 March 2013 in connection with a RoseLiv charity concert in Odense Concert Hall.
