New employee

We welcome you to the Department of Biomedicine. We look forward to working with you.

As a research institution, the Department of Biomedicine is bound by certain regulations governing research, payroll and personnel, safety, the mental and physical work environment etc., respectively.

To get into the buildings requires an admission pass which will be issued by your local secretariat (East, West, South). In connection with the issue of your admission pass your departmental email address will be automatically generated.

We use a number of common administrative systems and user interfaces that you should familiarize yourself with. If you need assistance our local secretariats will be happy to assist you.

The International Centre

To make your transition into Denmark as smooth as possible you are welcome to contact The International Centre for information about practical and administrative matters arising in connection with your studies and work at Aarhus University and your residence in Denmark.

"GETTING STARTED" is an event for newly arrived, non-salaried PhD students, researchers and their spouses organized by the International Academic Staff Services (IAS). The event is held the first and third Friday of the month from 9 am to 12 pm.

The event provides you with important on-arrival information and gives you the opportunity to get registered with the public authorities for your EU residence certificate, CPR number and tax card.

Introduction Day

All new employees are encouraged to participate in AU's introduction days, which will be held every other month.

The event is for all salaried employees - teachers, PhD students, researchers, secretaries, caretakers, consultants, project employees, cleaning staff, etc.
